What is the difference between CarpetMate and RugBuddy?

The only difference is the application.

CarpetMateâ„¢ goes under wall-to-wall carpeting and is generally hard-wired into our SmartStat, programmable thermostat.

RugBuddyâ„¢ goes under an area rug and is plugged into the wall through our GFCI protected plug.
